This is a place to visit. There are many varieties of Rotodendron in Bloom right now. The manager suggested coming back in a week or so when all the flowers ar in bloom. There is a nice covered bridge and few seats if you would like to relax. There is also a very old barn and a couple of small waterfalls. There is no fee to enter.

Last weekend my wife and I went to Castle in the Clouds in on Rte 171 in Moultonborough NH. You can photograph a waterfall. There are many miles of hiking trails and the Castle itself. The views are magnificent. Here is the web site http://www.castleintheclouds.org/Picture%20Gallery.htm.

You are welcome. This is 5 or 6 houses from my parents' place, so I have been going there for years! (Since I was a kid and it was still private property, actually.)
I should organize a shoot! (If I wasn't so busy!)

right now, I'm bikebound.
I live on granite street, near it's intersection with hayward ave. the meeting this thursday, is several miles, cross the city...though I would do it; if I can get a carpool, either from my house, or from somewhere close to it, I'd be much appreciative. it would save me much effort. and hassle of biking on the streets.
if you can help, cell is 510-457-6887 or email meo1259@hotmail.com
thanks for the helps

Despite my high expectations for this Wiki, I do believe you'll be better served by sending out a message using Meetups. That way, all the members will get it in their email. With the Wiki, someone needs to find this and I suspect you'll have fewer eyeballs here, overall.

I was at my sister's wedding, it was a pretty casual affair, and I was the photographer.
I took a bunch of pictures, most of them, were dissapointingly...bland. and I want to make the best of them, maybe some borders, and get them properly adjusted, and shopped.
I need some help with this. is there somebody, hopefully with an instant messanger, who can give me some detailed instructions, on how to get this done, effectively, and easily?
I have photoshop 7.

i just had a quick idea, that I think would be a great boon for a lot of the newer members.
for any meet up reminder, it'd be nice to have like a mapquest link in the reminder page. something that can be simply thrown into any notices and somebody, like myself who's not fluent in all the meet up places, can simply click the link and be taken to it. mapquest is awesome, that it has "directions to, or directions from" so i can pretty readily get the directions to there customised for myself, instead of having that whole "coming from the north" bit.
can I get that?
actually, since you revisit the locations, I'd thing it'd not be hard at all, to script the links to a word document , and have a set of links, for mapquest, googlemaps, and yahoo maps. the three popular ones.
pweeeeeese?
oh, fearless leaders, I've some news on the chatroom.

"hmmm, so maybe it's all taken care of already.
although...I'd already deleted the email, ah well. if that's the way it works then maybe no actions needed. " Well, you don't really need the email. Just go to the Meetup site. Look at the meeting information. That's what I did.

All fine and dandy this rosy picture, but if I recall, the WPC was very involved in 1954 in blacklisting chimpanzees that were members of the ACP: American Chimpanzee Party.

This is an absolute gem and should be visited often. There's an old mill sitting next to water falls that loves cameras almost from any angle. The site is well maintained by the State and has had improvements over the years. A large pond has trails that go around it and part of the land there belongs to Audobon.

The park is a few miles to the south of Rt 9. You get there by going down Rt 31.
The original home of Elias Howe, the park still has the foundation stones for the Howe house. He was an inventor. He for the sewing machine and his brother for a truss bridge design. The park is a lovely spot with a manmade pond (via a dam with a nice waterfall). There are trails all about. The forest area has tall pines, which can remind you of the chase scene in the second Star Wars movie (it did me when I raced through the area on my mountain bike many years ago). The pond feeds a stream that has its own charms and, if you follow the trail, you'll end up on private land with a nice view of another pond.
This is a favorite spot for cross country skiing and snowmobiling.

This wildlife area has a dam creating a pond that has many interesting angles. The sun shining from the west can light up the old tree trunks and branches coming up out of the flooded areas there. Higher up the hillside, are a variety of trees and behond that, you'll find the to of Buck Hill, where a bald area, maintained by haying, offers a nice view all around. On the side of the hill is a shelter for hikers and snowmobilers alike. The backside of the hill is where the mid-state trail cuts through Spencer. You'll find a stream coming from Camp Marshall passing under a stone arch bridge. Follow that trail to the east to get to Paxton Road, where the Mid-State Trail cuts through some private lands. It's a hiking trail and is accessible to hikers.
Photographically, the area that's really interesting is Turkey Brook. There are some foot bridges through a swampy area that beg to be photographed because of their zig-zag pattern. A foggy day might result in some amazing compositions.
The area was originally maintained by the Youth Conservation Core.
