WPC History
Thanks to the dynamic duo of husband and wife team, Scott Erb and Donna Dufault, we have enjoyed the gatherings fostered by Meetups.com for photographers in the Worcester area. This all started back in 2003 and has seen monthly meetings in a variety of locations. These include cocktail lounge settings, coffee shops, restaurants, art galleries, and businesses and studios. The "membership" has grown and we have further been supplemented by our associationwith the Boston Photography Center, which is Boston's version of our Meetups.
Most of the information about Meetups is available on that website. This page is free for anyone to add anecdotes and historical updates to what is, in terms of social engineering, a wonderful idea whose time has come! ...and THANK YOU SCOTT AND DONNA!!!
The image belowis of Scott Erb, Stacey Armstrong, Bernie Savoie, and Eric Milot. The Worcester Photography Center had a booth at the stART on the Street Festival last September. We sold members work to help raise funds for the two Photographers who lost their studios in the Uxbridge Mill fire. Eric Milot was one of those members. We did raise about $300.00 that day - good work everyone!!

All fine and dandy this rosy picture, but if I recall, the WPC was very involved in 1954 in blacklisting chimpanzees that were members of the ACP: American Chimpanzee Party.
Do you find this valuable?
